Horizontal mini blinds

You may consider screen shades or solar roller shades instead, which still provide outside view, protect furniture from sun rays and also reduce glare. You can install these shades in addition to draperies, or without them.

Fabric roman shades – look nice for many interior styles - contemporary, country, classic, and so on. The level of privacy and light blockage depends on the type of fabric you select for your shades. As for your roman shades styles, you can choose one that you like the best and that match best your room interior.

Bamboo roman shades or bamboo roller shades go well with several interior styles – modern, orient, exotic, even classic. Depending on their texture, these shades may gently diffuse light, or block it completely.

If you choose blinds or shades for your French doors, consider to get something that holds them on the bottom and prevents from flopping when you open and close the door. For horizontal blinds you can install hold-down brackets, and for roman shades some people use Velcro. You may also find your own solution.

In desperate need of some help...discipline that works.?

I have a 5 year old boy and a 1 1/2 year old boy. They are COMPLETE opposites. My 5 years old is more laid back and caustious, he's always done well following directions and has always listend well. My 1 1/2 year old on the other hand...JUST DOESN'T CARE. This kid is crazy. Constently testing me. He climbs everything. LEarned how to open the doors with the safety knobs on them. He is always picking on his brother hitting and throwing things. I have tried time outs, he have put him in the corner and even in the play pen...nothing works he just climbs out. Spanking doesn't work either...and I am a firm believer in spanking. Everything that worked for my 5 years old is not working on my youngest. I am so frustrated and even depressed. I need help! How do I discipline a 1 1/2 year old?
*he doesn't talk yet eaither and it doesn't help that my husband is a cop and is always working odd hours so it's just me most of the time. HE doesn't listen to his Dad either*

he's starting his terrible two's, it's totally normal.
always keep your calm, if you yell too much or get freaked out, they get immune to it and begin to think they can control you. take something away when he is being bad and ignore whatever tantrum follows ( get a playpen with taller sides if he is destructive, but only put him in there if he is being destructive ). usually a baby that little acts out to get your attention, so pay as little attention to the bad behavior as you can and always always acknowledge when he is being good with lots of hugs and smiles and thank you's. buy him a special toy or take him somewhere fun when he's been being really good for a few days or so and make sure he knows its because he's been behaving so well. do this with your other boy too. be calm, consistent and fair and by the time he's finally 3, he'll respect you more.
