what will remove rust from metal or tole chandeliers?
I bought a vintage italian tole floral chandelier but it is badly rusted
Sandblasting or wirebrushing will remove the rust
He said "badly rusted" and "The RD Diva says "CLR will remove heavy caked rust?"
Rust film maybe, but the heavy caked stuff? I'd have to see that to believe it. I believe I would get the old wirebrush, because the item will need a new coat of paint anyway after that bad rust is removed.

Only problem is that it is a cleaner that removes rusty soap scum and calcium water deposits from bathroom tub and tile etc....
It doesn't say anything about removing the rust layers from rusting metals. It only removes discolored water deposits.
