Once and for-all, Where is Turkey? Asia or Europe?
Please provide proof. I've seen Europe maps with Turkey, and I've seen Asia maps with Turkey?
I've also heard it is part os Eurasia.
When I was a kid, it was in what was called Asia Minor. Eurasia means "Europe and Asia" so, Turkey does lie in Eurasia but that doesn't answer your question.
Traditionally, Turkey was not included in Europe since Europe was generally defined as comprising the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia and is generally divided from Asia to its east by the water divide of the Ural Mountains, the Ural River, the Caspian Sea, and by the Caucasus Mountains, the Kuma-Manych Depression, and the Black Sea to the southeast. However, Turkey is apparently now generally defined as a transcontinental nation--that is, it can be considered as both European and Asian. This is because three of Turkey's provinces are entirely in Europe while Çanakkale and Istanbul are transcontinental provinces. Three of Çanakkale's districts are entirely in Europe and its other nine districts are entirely in Asia. Nineteen of Istanbul's districts are entirely in Europe and its other twelve districts (forming Anatolia) are entirely in Asia.
