Shingles, is it possible to have several small area of the rash on both sides of your body?
I have Multple Serlosis and have had a small area a few years back and was told by a doctor that it was shingles, and have the scaring to show for it. This time I have 9-11 areas three on one arm one on the shin of each leg and one in the middle of my back.
The Dr. tells me that it looks like cold sores or could be an allergy?
any ideas?
Cold sores are Herpes Simplex...shingles are Herpes Zoster. both are viral in nature. The genetral rule of thumb is that shingles are only unilateral, like one leg, one thigh, one arm and on one side of your back. Are the lesions painful. Are they in clusters? Have him culture them to get your answer.
