Engagement ring question??????? ADVISE PLEASE?
So we've been talking about marriage for some time now. And We went to his mothers house and she gave me a ring-it was her old engagement ring from her 1st marriage. The Stone is gorgeous and its very old so they dont cut it like that anymore...its antique. Well I just fell in love with it and my b/f says we can use it and get it set or it I prefer he can just buy me my own diamond. I'm leaning towards just using the stone his mom gave me b/c I dont want him spending all this money when we can use it for other things......BUT....do you think its bad luck to use it???? I dont know what to do, this stone is perfect!

Let me tell you a little bit about it.....its a round cut stone; and its .97cts
Their are virtualy no flaws and the clarity or color is either a G or an H which is super good. And it just sparkles soooo much.
It is a gorgeous diamond. I think it will bring nothing but good luck and happy feelings because it was given with love and goodwill.
Have it reset and enjoy it for what it is. You would have to spend a lot of cash to get something so beautiful.
Enjoy the beautiful diamond, and enjoy the good feelings it is giving you. You are lucky to have a mother in law who cares enough to be so generous.
