a male friend has 4 dogs. Well taken care of.He asks me to spend the night often. But he sleeps with the dogs
he moves to the couch .He follows folks around,fearing the might get jabbed by a pen or a cigar. He is fearful of what the dogs may do to his Antique
Victorian furnature,so he chooses to have no furnature. Except for the "dog/man " couch. One wooded chair hangs on a hook on the wall if someone REALY needs to sit.It took a yr. to get him to see the kennel is a good thing for the dogs.
I tease him ,But he knows its a growing bad thing. Pushing me away.
whats a girl to do.
And if a dirty mind reads this. An other style won't fix the situation.lol

This is a good news/bad news situation. The good news is he loves his dogs and that shows he's a caring and compassionate person. He'll probably be as protective and caring of you as he is his dogs.
The bad news is he's pretty obsessive about it. That could translate to how he feels about you in the future. You need to think long and hard about whether you can (or want) to compete with the dogs.
It's unlikely that he'll change his feelings about the dogs, but you might be able to help him realize that you're more interesting then them.
